Location and Age

  • The nebula is located approximately 8,000 light-years from Earth, in the constellation Cepheus.
  • The nebula is estimated to be about 4 million years old.

Structure and Star Formation

The Warlock Nebula is an interesting object for studying star formation processes, as it is a region of active star formation that is also surrounded by the clouds of gas and dust from which these stars formed.
