We run stargazing trips from May to October every year, but the specific dates depend heavily on the weather. A fairly reliable forecast is only available 2-4 days before a trip, so we can't publish a schedule for the whole season in advance. To make sure you don't miss the next registration opening, subscribe to our Telegram channel, and log in on the site - once you sign in by email or via Yandex or VK you're automatically subscribed to our event mailing. It's also worth checking the stargazing trips page from time to time, where we post announcements.
Our stargazing trips always take place out of town, usually within 40-70 km. We head away from light pollution and city lights to see the stars. The exact location becomes available after you register. If you happen to lose the location, just go back to the registration page using the same link. It includes geolocation links for Yandex.Maps and Google Maps.
No, you can't. Registration is required, as it lets us plan the event, notify participants about any changes, and ensure comfort for everyone.
The QR code is your entry ticket to our event. It will be checked at the entrance. Please have it ready in advance to avoid creating a queue on site. If you don't have a QR code, we'll have to turn you away. The QR code is how we manage the number of participants at the site. Our natural surroundings, as well as the team's physical capacity, have their limits. Please respect that and understand.
For a comfortable stay at the observing site, be sure to bring warm clothing (we're out in the steppe, and it's windy and cold at night), a camping mat, folding chairs, and blankets. We also recommend a thermos with tea or coffee and some sandwiches. Consider bringing insect repellent. Hookahs, barbecues, alcohol and cigarettes are prohibited! And by the way, we run the cleanest site around - after a trip we don't find a single wrapper or scrap of paper, and we're very grateful to you for that!
We don't organize transport or arrange rides. Our job is to put on a great event, and yours is to get there. But for your convenience, we created a chat called Astro.Rideshare. Unfortunately, no. The site is far from any public transport routes. You can get there by your own car or join other participants if they're willing to give you a ride. We recommend arranging this in advance through our Telegram channel.
The exact start time is listed in the event poster and on the registration page - it's different for every trip. As a rule, we start right around sunset, once the sun dips below the horizon. So we recommend arriving at the site early - an hour to an hour and a half before the start time. That way you'll have time to calmly find a spot in the field, get settled, take some photos, and watch the sunset. And of course, it's important to park without rushing, so as not to create traffic jams at the entrance. We really appreciate that!
It depends on the specific trip - check the price on the event's registration card. For paid trips, the adult ticket is paid online; kids under 18 always go free. After payment you'll get a QR ticket - that's your entry pass. Changed your plans? Cancel your booking and the payment is automatically refunded to your card within 1-10 business days. On average, the official program - from the start of the talk to the telescope observations - lasts 2 hours. But we guarantee it will fly by for you. After that, it's up to you - stay and watch the sky through the telescopes, or head home. Approximate end time: 12:30 AM.
If the weather forecast is unfavorable (clouds or precipitation), the event may be canceled or rescheduled. We always notify participants of such changes through our Telegram channel, so be sure to watch for updates.
No, bringing a telescope is not required. We always have several telescopes available for everyone to use. If you have your own equipment, feel free to bring it, and our experts will help you set it up and use it.

Of course! You can take photos, but please follow good etiquette so as not to disturb other participants. Don't use bright flashes or lights, as they can spoil the night observation for others.
