About the Project

My name isMisha, and this site is my attempt to share my hobby with you, to bring together all the information and capture the achievements made on the path to exploring the cosmos. Astronomy for me is not just a hobby, but an entire world that has changed my life. Through it I have found incredible friends, learned much that is new, and realized how vast and mysterious the expanses of the Universe are. This project is our shared contribution to the popularization and development of astronomy. We sincerely believe that through our efforts the cosmos will become closer and more accessible to everyone.

We work in very different fields, but we are all united by one thing — a love of stars and the night sky. Since 2016 we have been popularizing astronomy, organizing star parties in the Orenburg region, and holding sidewalk astronomy evenings in Orenburg. Together we look at the stars, share knowledge, and inspire others.

In 2016 in the Orenburg region we launched the Look at the Stars project to make astronomy accessible to everyone. Since then, every season we hold free lectures under the open sky, organize trips outside the city with telescopes, and run informal sidewalk astronomy evenings.

The main goal of the project is to show the greatness and beauty of the Universe, to inspire people to study the cosmos. We cover not only the Orenburg region but also neighboring regions, traveling to places where the night sky is especially bright. Our events take place not only in the cities and towns of the Orenburg region, but also in neighboring regions. We organize field trips to remote locations where minimal light pollution allows you to enjoy the starry sky to the fullest. Our team of amateur astronomers and volunteers shares their knowledge and experience so that everyone can discover the beauty and mysteries of the Universe.

One of the most important components of the project are lectures delivered by experienced amateur astronomers. We talk about scientific discoveries, the history of astronomy, and its modern achievements. Lectures are held in a light format where complex things are explained in simple and clear language. This helps listeners not only broaden their horizons but also inspires independent study of astronomy.

We pay special attention to sidewalk astronomy evenings. These open-air gatherings take place in the most accessible locations in the city. At such events anyone can come up, look through a telescope, and learn more about what the starry sky holds.

This project is one of the most significant stages of my life. Our DIY astronomical observatory is a unique phenomenon for the Orenburg region. It operates autonomously and allows obtaining images of deep-space objects, making astronomy accessible to all. The observatory is open to everyone. Anyone can use its capabilities to obtain images of space objects. Moreover, the site has a sectionObjects, where you will find an archive of FITS files. These data can be used for training, asteroid searching, creating astrophotographs, and other scientific or creative purposes.

Soon we will launch a free telescope control service so that even more people can appreciate the beauty of the night sky. These photographs have been processed by me and my friends and are a reflection of our passion for the cosmos.

This project is our contribution to the popularization of astronomy. We sincerely hope it will inspire you to discover the Universe!
