
On July 14, 2017, another astronomical trip for astronomy enthusiasts took place as part of the RIA56 project "Look at the Stars". The event was held outside the city, in the blue zone of light pollution, to provide ideal conditions for observing the starry sky.

Venue:
- Location: Mount Goryun, 30 km from Orenburg along the Saraktash highway.
- For those who do not know how to get there: meet at 9:00 at the monument to Yuri Gagarin (Gagarin Avenue) in the pocket on the way to the center.

Participation conditions:
- Participation is paid: 200 rubles per person.
- Children - free.
- It is recommended to have a personal vehicle. If this is not possible, you can find free seats with other participants.
Necessary things:
- Warm clothes (it is cool at night).
- A camping mat or chair for comfortable seating.
- Tea in a thermos, cookies, candy.
- Good mood!
Astrotrip program
Lectures and stories:
- Constellations and legends of the starry sky: a story about the most famous constellations of the Northern sky and the myths associated with them.
- Evolution of stars and planets: a brief overview of the life cycle of stars and the formation of planetary systems. - Quiz: each participant who answered the questions correctly received a small prize from the Orion Astroclub.
Observations:
- Giant Planets: Jupiter and Saturn. Participants were able to examine the satellites of the planets and details of the cloud layer of their atmospheres.
- Double Stars: observations of bright and beautiful double stars.
- Globular Cluster in Hercules (M13): the object appeared to observers as many individual stars forming an amazing structure.
- Galaxies, Nebulae, and Star Clusters: study of deep space objects.
Equipment:
- Sky-Watcher Dob 10" SynScan: the largest telescope in the Orenburg region with a primary mirror diameter of 250 mm and an autoguidance system.
- Sky-Watcher 150 mm: a telescope on an equatorial mount.
- Sky-Watcher 130 mm: a telescope with autoguidance.
Master class:
- Astrophotography: participants could attach their DSLR cameras to telescopes and take photos of deep-sky objects.
Astrotour Results
On July 14, 2017, more than 50 people gathered on Mount Goryun to spend the day under the starry sky.
Lectures and stories:
- Participants heard a fascinating story about constellations and legends of the starry sky.
- A brief overview of the evolution of stars and planets was given.
- The lecture part ended with a quiz, where everyone who knew the correct answer received a small prize from the Orion astroclub.
Observations:
- The giant planets Jupiter and Saturn: participants noted visible satellites and details of the cloud layer of the atmosphere.
- Double stars: observations of bright and beautiful pairs of stars.
- The globular cluster in Hercules (M13): the object was visible as many individual stars.
Astrophotography master class:
