The Perseids: The Major Meteor Shower of 2026

On August 12, we invite you to a special stargazing outing dedicated to the year's premier meteor shower: the Perseids.

This evening, we will forgo telescope observations to focus entirely on the beauty of the starry sky. You will enjoy a fascinating astronomy lecture covering asteroids, the difference between meteors and meteorites, and comets, as well as an explanation of why the Perseids are consistently one of the year's most spectacular celestial events.

Following the lecture, we will take a guided tour of the summer night sky. Together, we will locate the brightest constellations, watch for shooting stars, make wishes, and soak up the atmosphere of a true steppe night accompanied by a specially curated music set. A photo zone featuring models of Mars and the Moon will also be available at the site.

The event will take place in the countryside, approximately 35–40 km from Orenburg. The exact location will be revealed in your personal participant account after registration. We recommend arriving early.

Participation fee: 500 rubles. Free for children under 18.

Recommended age: 8 years and older.

We recommend bringing: warm clothing, insect repellent, and a blanket, camping mat, or folding chair.

The event may be rescheduled in the event of adverse weather conditions. All purchased tickets will remain valid for the new date, or a refund may be requested if preferred.
