One of the most anticipated astronomical events of this summer is the Perseid meteor shower, formed as a result of the Earth's passage through a trail of dust particles released by the Swift-Tuttle comet. In the next few days, the meteor shower will reach its maximum. The shower density is expected to be 90-110 meteors per hour.
As part of the "Look at the Stars" project of our astronomical community "Orion" with the support of the online publication "Orenburg Media" and the social investment program "Native Cities" (Gazpromneft-Orenburg), we plan to observe the meteor shower on Mount Goryun. The Gagarin Center for the Identification and Support of Gifted Children will take part in the astronomical trip.

The first part of the program is a lecture hall with multimedia equipment on the topic of the astrovisit.

The second part is observing the meteor shower, a tour of the constellations and observations through telescopes.
