"There are only two possibilities. Either we are alone in the Universe, or we are not. And both possibilities are equally frightening." — Arthur Charles Clarke
Whether aliens exist or not, we really don't know. But one thing we do know for sure: UFOs are very popular on Earth. Movies are made about them, books are written, pictures are painted. Images of aliens are used everywhere - from food to clothing. We invite you to look into this issue as part of the "Look at the Stars" project of our astronomical community "Orion" with the support of the online publication "Orenburg Media" and the social investment program "Hometowns" (Gazpromneft-Orenburg) August 23, 2019 at 21:00 on Mount Goryun.
Even if we don't see anyone there, you can still have a great time, because watching the night sky is a real pleasure.

Results of the astrovisit
The most mystical astrovisit "Look at the stars" fell on the warmest night of the year!
We admired the starry sky, took astrophotographs and talked about aliens. We tried to destroy all the theories of ufologists with iron logic and a powerful scientific base, but left hope that we are not alone in the Universe.
The "bloody" Moon and several "stars" that fell almost onto our clearing became an addition to the amazing lecture and fantastic sky.
The project is developing, and this is pleasing:
- A large screen with a projector appeared, sound through speakers, microphones for the presenters.
- The main thing remains: direct observation of stars and interesting stories about them.
The telescopes worked in a new mode, photographing distant galaxies, and the photographs were immediately displayed on the large screen. More than a hundred viewers felt themselves involved in big astronomy, having seen a series of photographs of the history of observing a supernova explosion. These photographs were taken by our Orenburg astronomy enthusiasts using modern technology.
Each of the viewers learned about the opportunity to become a qualified observer of the starry sky by downloading the publicly available KSTARS application.
The guys from "Orion" held a wonderful lecture on UFOs:
- They collected together a lot of information about unidentified flying objects. - They systematized the information, showed it on slides and told an interesting story about this 20th century phenomenon.
- It turns out that there are many falsifications and fabrications associated with the myths about space aliens. Most often, these are spaceships of earthlings, traces of them in the atmosphere or glare in camera lenses. But some of the evidence remains unexplained, leaving a veil of secrecy over the UFO problem.
Everyone will find something new and interesting on astronomical trips. For example, on the night mountain Goryun you can even find lost things! One absent-minded listener was told about the headphones that had been found, and another had his dropped glasses returned.
